SUPERMAN RETURNS… I hope so…

SUPERMAN Returns…
Current mood: curious
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Folks ~
Since I can remember, the original Superman movies from back in the day had left a huge imprint in me… It got me started… the notion of  what an amazing thing it must be part of a world that helped create that movie.  Special effects, all the amazing genius that went into putting the storyline together, and the cinematography of it all… Back in the day, it all felt so real to me as a kid.  I wanted so much to be a part of that whole process of creating that story and developing it into a movie which would affect whoever saw it. I never forgot that feeling.
I literally grew up believing in this character… Superman.
The tragic reality and irony of the great man of steel having his spine crushed by a horse really hit me hard too.  I think back at the time when I just heard the news on TV about Christopher Reeve… I felt helpless. Like there were no more heroes around. It was like I was a little boy who had his first bike stolen from the spot where he last left it.  I’m serious.  Weird huh?
I saw the preview in theatres a few days ago…  I’m going to be honest, the moment I heard maybe 3 notes from that all-too-familiar theme song, I knew what that preview was going to be about.
I’m a big fan of the original works - one of many true believers of the work - faithful to Christopher Reeve (best portrayal of Superman ever). So now they’re trying to bring the legendary story back… God please don’t let this movie flop like all the other remakes out there… please, please, please.  It would be nice to make that kid inside of me smile from the feeling like he found his stolen bike….
This movie better be good…. and I’m not talking about Kevin Spacey’s performance as Lex Luthor….
